OLIV ZIEGLER

Oliv Ziegler, geboren 1976 in Bern, wuchs im kleinen Bauerndorf Horriwil auf, Kanton Solothurn. Die Verbundenheit mit der Natur prägen bis heute sein Schaffen. Schon als Kind wirkte er in der väterlichen Holz- und Metallwerkstatt.

Während seiner Ausbildung zum Primarlehrer besuchte er privaten Zeichnungsunterricht und Kurse an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. Als Volontär arbeitete er mit behinderten Menschen und lernte dabei die nonverbale Sprache zu verstehen.

Im Jahr 2003 begann er sein Vollzeitstudium der Bildhauerei an der „Florence Academy of Art“ in Florenz. Daniel Graves (Direktor und Gründer der Florence Academy) Robert Bodem (Direktor der Bildhauerei) und Lotta Blokker waren seine wichtigsten Lehrer. Sein Talent wurde schnell erkannt und ein volles Stipendium der Schule ermöglichte den Abschluss des vierjährigen Studiums. Er unterrichtet als Assistent und Dozent die Bildhauerklasse sowie an der Sommerakademie. Aufgrund seiner Begabung im Zeichnen wurde er als Ausnahme auch in die Malklasse aufgenommen.

Francisco Montoya

Born in Bogotà – Colombia, where he studied Architecture, he went on to study Industrial Design in Milan.

A designer with an all-round interest in his profession, he has acquired experience in a wide variety of different fields ranging from the design of eyewear to that of aeroplane interiors, from jewellery to bathroom accessories and finally watches.

His quest for innovation develops through the dynamic exchange of technological and logistic information between all these different disciplines.

In the sphere of Industrial Design he has collaborated with Givenchy, Patrick Cox, Escada, Max Mara, IBB, Aghifug, Salvatore Ferragamo, Maria Grazia Cassetti, Eurobrass, Entra, Tonon, Binova, Confalonieri and Trussardi. And, specifically for the design of watches, with Honda Access Europe , Mercedes Benz, Renault, Momo Design, Mondia and Roberta di Camerino.

At present he is a partner in the Moghi studio, a company founded with other professionals for the development of research in the style sector and consultancy on product design.

The activities that he develops in his area at the Art Space Florence are of pure and free research in the field of painting, traditional sculpture (earth, clay, resins) and more experimental sculpture exploiting the 3D technique (Rhinoceros) to tangibly create them using a three-dimensional plotter.

In the quest for absolute freedom, he has decided to sign all the works created in the space with the pseudonym 5co.
